A mosque founded in the fourth century AH during the time of the scholar Abu Saeed al-Madani. It can accommodate 200 worshippers and has been renovated more than once.
Al-Aridh Mosque, also known as Abu Saeed Al-Kadmi Mosque, is named after its founder in the fourth century AH, the scholar Abu Saeed Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Naabi. The mosque consists of a spacious building and a prayer hall with two entrances: two double-leaf wooden doors in the eastern wall and two double-leaf doors in the northern wall. It consists of five arcades, fourteen cylindrical columns, and three square ones connected by 21 circular and semi-circular arches. The ceiling is supported by kendal wood. The mihrab consists of overlapping frames with a sunken gradation in the qibla wall. The mosque can accommodate just over 200 worshippers. What is slightly unique about this mosque compared to its peers among its historic mosques is that access to the roof is via an external staircase attached to its eastern wall, rather than the usual internal wooden staircase leading to the nave. The last restoration was in 2014 by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
