The Omani national curriculum is the framework set by the Ministry of Education for all public schools and approved private schools in Oman. It is structured into basic education (Grades 1–10, divided into Cycle 1 and Cycle 2) and post-basic education (Grades 11–12), culminating in the General Education Diploma (GED) examination.
Arabic is the primary language of instruction, with English taught as a subject from early grades. The curriculum includes Islamic studies, Arabic language, mathematics, science, and social studies as core subjects. Private schools following the Omani curriculum must be licensed by the Ministry and adhere to the same standards as government schools.
